For Individuals (Adults & Teens) · Couples (Partners, Parents & Co-Parents) · Families (Parents, Co-Parents, Adults, Teens & Kids)

Phase 1: Awareness & Assessment

“Start by clarifying your goals.”

Objective:

When life feels chaotic, it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters. This first phase helps you pause, take stock, and bring structure to what’s felt unclear or overwhelming. Many clients begin here feeling exhausted, uncertain, or unsure where to start. Together, we identify behavioral, emotional, and environmental factors influencing your daily life — so you can finally see the full picture with clarity and direction.

You’ll explore key areas of well-being, including:

Family & Relationships · Personal Growth · Emotional Health · Physical Health · Career & Purpose · Finances · Spiritual Connection · Home Environment · Leisure & Play · Community & Contribution · Self-Care & Mindfulness · Organization & Time Management

Practices:

Focus Areas:

Outcome:

You’ll gain a clear roadmap that highlights your strengths, defines your challenges, and outlines where alignment and growth can begin.

Phase 2: Understanding Challenges

“Learn the science behind behavior.”

Objective:

This phase is for those moments when emotions take over — when reactivity, frustration, or misunderstanding keep repeating despite your best intentions. Here, we examine the why behind behavior. You’ll learn how stress, environment, and reinforcement patterns shape interactions, helping you replace self-blame and confusion with awareness and strategy.

Practices:

Focus Areas:

Outcome:

You’ll transform judgment and frustration into understanding — creating the foundation for calmer interactions and emotional safety.

Phase 3: Environment & Systems Design

Family Coaching Step3

“Set the stage for alignment.”

Objective:

When life feels unmanageable, it’s rarely because of a lack of effort — it’s usually a lack of systems. In this phase, we organize the environments and routines that shape your day-to-day life. By simplifying, structuring, and aligning your surroundings with your values, you’ll reduce stress and restore balance at home, work, or school.

Practices:

Focus Areas:

Outcome:

You’ll replace daily overwhelm with organization and calm. When your environment supports your values, life begins to feel intentional instead of reactive.

Phase 4: Teaching & Skill Acquisition

“Learn, model, and practice new patterns.”

Objective:

Once awareness and understanding are established, this phase focuses on transformation through consistent skill-building. You’ll begin applying evidence-based tools that turn insight into action. As old habits lose power, new patterns of communication, regulation, and connection take root — helping daily life feel calmer, more predictable, and more aligned with your goals.

Practices:

Focus Areas:

Outcome:

You’ll notice tangible progress — fewer arguments, faster recovery from stress, and stronger follow-through. The transformation begins to show in your tone, body language, and ability to stay composed under pressure. Alignment starts becoming a lived experience rather than a goal.

Phase 5: Responsive Strategies

Family Coaching Step 5

“Learn to respond instead of react.”

Objective:

This is where emotional mastery begins to emerge. By this phase, you’ve built the awareness and tools to pause before reacting. You’ll learn to apply responsive strategies during moments of stress, conflict, or uncertainty — transforming patterns of reactivity into grounded, compassionate action. This is often the point where clients report feeling “lighter,” more connected, and more in control of their responses.

Practices:

  • Regulate: Pause and reset through grounding and breath.

  • Reflect: Identify triggers, needs, and intentions.

  • Respond: Communicate clearly and compassionately to stay connected.

Focus Areas:

Outcome:

You’ll feel more emotionally grounded and empowered to navigate challenges without losing connection. Reactivity gives way to responsiveness — creating space for trust, empathy, and mutual understanding to flourish.

“Solidify your foundation for future growth.”

Objective:

Transformation becomes lasting when consistency meets awareness. In this final phase, you’ll refine what works, maintain structure, and sustain alignment across changing seasons of life. This is where short-term improvements become lifelong habits — where connection, communication, and regulation feel natural instead of effortful.

Practices:

Focus Areas:

Outcome:

You’ll experience a deep sense of balance and long-term stability. The tools that once required conscious effort now feel instinctive. Alignment becomes your default — reflected in how you think, communicate, and live every day.

It takes the right person doing the right job to make extraordinary change. Jen is that very person when it comes to parenting classes. Her care for her clients and positivity is heart warming. The minute I started working with her I knew that I did the right thing to sign up for parenting classes. She made her content relevant to my story and I truly felt supported in my parenting. We need more people like Jen in this world who care about their clients and who want to make positive change. Thanks Jen for your guidance and support in my parenting.

Jen is one of the kindest, sweetest, good hearted people I know. She has helped me immensely with my 9 year old son. She helped me implement a system of token rewards for good decisions & he would then be able to use the tokens for his electronics. He not only had a dramatic change in behavior but he also started to make good decisions without even wanting or caring about the reward. It seems he is now recognizing how good it feels to make a good decision. Additionally, he has almost completely stopped using his electronics (because he doesn't want to spend his tokens). Ha go figure!!! Thank you so much Jen!!!!

I attended Jennifer's 6 week in-person parenting class and thought it was fantastic. Jennifer is extremely knowledgeable about parenting, child development, and child psychology. Jennifer is also one of the very few professionals that offers in-person parenting classes in the San Diego area. Each session I attended had clear objectives, was covered in great detail and was easily understood. As a person, Jennifer is very approachable, kind, understanding and accommodating. I would highly recommend Jennifer for any of your parenting questions or education needs.
