What It’s About
Raising a teenager comes with a unique set of joys and challenges—and many parents find themselves unsure of how to stay connected while also supporting growing independence. The Teen Years Blueprint: Strategies to Strengthen Communication, Trust & Connection with Your Teen was created to guide you through this important stage with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
This class focuses on evidence-based strategies that help improve everyday communication, reduce power struggles, and build a relationship rooted in mutual respect. You’ll explore how to shift from reactive moments to intentional conversations, and how to navigate emotional highs and lows with calm, grounded presence.
Topics include how to set healthy boundaries without creating distance, ways to repair after conflict, and tools for encouraging openness even when your teen seems closed off. You’ll also learn how to validate your teen’s emotions while maintaining your role as a supportive guide—not a fixer.
For families parenting neurodiverse teens or those navigating anxiety, defiance, or sibling tension, the strategies covered are adaptable, inclusive, and designed to reflect your child’s strengths. You’ll also gain insight into the developing adolescent brain and how to support executive functioning skills like planning, regulation, and decision-making.
Whether your teen is pulling away, acting out, or simply growing into a new stage of life, this class offers gentle, practical guidance to help you stay emotionally connected. You’ll leave with tools that feel doable, language that builds trust, and approaches that support long-term resilience for both you and your child.
