What It’s About

Going through the process of finding the right support for your child with autism can be extremely overwhelming. As a provider who guides parents through this process, it breaks my heart to see the lack of information and resources that are easily accessible for parents with newly-diagnosed children. This is why I designed this parenting class – to give you everything you need to get started.

This class covers the fundamentals of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in an easy-to-digest way (without the clinical jargon). You’ll learn what ABA therapy actually is, how it works in everyday settings, and who it can benefit from ABA. We’ll break down the core principles of ABA, including reinforcement, prompting, and data collection, and show how these strategies are used to support meaningful progress at home, school, and in the community.

We’ll talk through the kinds of goals that are typically addressed in ABA therapy—like communication, transitions, daily routines, social skills, and emotional regulation. You’ll also learn how ABA therapists assess behavior, collaborate with families, and adjust plans over time to support each child’s unique development.

For parents feeling unsure or skeptical about ABA, this class offers clarity. We’ll explore the evolution of ABA and what modern, compassionate, child-centered behavior support looks like today. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of ethical practices and how quality ABA focuses on building skills in ways that are respectful and relationship-based.

You’ll also be given resources to use moving forward including recommended sites and what to ask ABA providers as you’re searching for the best fit for your child. My goal is to give you everything you’ll need to feel more grounded in what works, what to expect, and how to advocate for your child’s needs with clarity and compassion.

Hear What Other Parents Have to Say

I recently attended one of Aligned Parenting Services free parenting seminars. The topic was understanding your child's love language. Jen's delivery and approach was really easy to understand and she gave us ideas and tools we could implement at home. It was definitely time well-spent. After the seminar, I better understood my child's love language (which is different from my own!) and started implementing more mommy and me time after school. I immediately noticed a difference in his behavior and listening skills through the afternoons and evenings, just from this tweak in our day and the ideas I got from Jen's seminar. I highly recommend Aligned Parenting Services if you're seeking ongoing behavioral support for you and your child or if you're looking for one-off ideas to make small changes in your home.

Jen is so thorough in her suggestions and gives the psychological explanations to go along with the instructions. She has such simple techniques that every parent can accomplish easily. The flow of the webinar was exceptional. Her examples are realistic and probably ones every parent experiences. I am excited to buy a timer to start using this tool to improve my day. Thank you Jen for a great class!

I attended a free Potty Training class provided by Jennifer. The class was fun and useful. She provides us a step-by-step guide about how to do the Potty Training. She then sent on the documents that she mentioned in her class to us in the following week. I definitely feel more confident about Potty Training now.
